The photoshoot was honestly any photographer’s dream. We were at the entrance building for bellingrath gardens right when they opened at 8am. The next hour we spent exploring the garden and getting some gorgeous shots of Lindsay and Nate. It was a pretty cold morning, so they were extra cuddly to keep warm, resulting in a sweet intimacy to all of their photos.
I’d never shot in a greenhouse before, so that was a fun experience. Bellingrath had a little bit of everything- lots of flowers and greenery, beautiful fountains, brick archways, and stunning water scenery. The blooming tulip trees and Spanish moss on the trees was STUNNING.
I met Lindsay and Nate while shooting a wedding actually. I had two weddings two Saturday’s in a row, and Lindsay ended up being a bridesmaid in both weddings. My first thought was that maybe she was a mail-order bridesmaid or something like that, but I found out, she’s actually just one of those people that is so genuinely nice and fun that you immediately want to be friends with them.
During the second wedding, a car issue came up, and my second shooter and I found ourselves with a second location shoot with the bride and groom, but no way to get there. Nate kindly volunteered to take us where we needed to go, and from that day I knew that these two were on my list of favorite people.
